My Engineering Buddy is looking for experienced and highly skilled Engineering Physics tutors to provide online tutoring and homework help to students worldwide. We are seeking candidates who can handle challenging academic problems and have an exceptional grasp of Engineering Physics, particularly in solving problems on-demand. Engineering Physics tutoring requires specialized knowledge and a deep understanding of key concepts. Students often face difficulties in areas like quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, material science, and electromagnetic theory, making personalized support essential for their academic success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive tutoring experience with international students in engineering physics.
  • Prior experience working for companies like Chegg, CourseHero, Wyzant, Preply, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate late-night sessions (IST).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct online tutoring sessions and offer high-quality homework help.
  • Solve complex Engineering Physics problems across various subfields/topics.
  • Work with international students (Americans, Europeans, Australians, Gulf countries).
  • Maintain professionalism and high standards for academic integrity.
  • Adhere to My Engineering Buddy’s strict policy on maintaining confidentiality and avoiding direct contact with students.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering Physics or a closely related field (or currently pursuing one).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably tutoring international students in engineering physics.
  • Knowledge of platforms like Google Meet, Google Sheets, and assignment submission formats.
  • Technical setup: Stable broadband, laptop/tablet with a camera, microphone, and digital pen.
  • Communication: Fluent English with a neutral or slightly foreign accent.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as MATLAB, simulation software, and LaTeX is an advantage.

Pay & Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: ₹500 – ₹1,500 based on the complexity of the work, the student’s profile, and the session timings.
  • For tutoring sessions, the fee is fixed before the session.
  • For homework help, you will be notified of the fee upfront, and you can choose to accept or decline the work.
  • We ensure timely payment with no unnecessary delays.

Additional Information

  • This is a freelance position with no guaranteed hours, and tutors are contacted on a job-by-job basis.
  • We do not commit to providing regular work, and there is no time commitment required from your end.
